365 Project Week 8

Feeling so behind again...apparently my blog is turning into just my 365 Project! That seems to be all I have the energy for right now, anyway. Hopefully I will get caught up with some other posts soon.

It was another push through it type week. But I'm glad I'm sticking with a photo a day (even if it's just one of the dog on the floor...haha.) We had some sun and snow melting so we were at least able to go outside the last few days. I was really frustrated with my camera earlier in the week when I was trying to shoot inside around bedtime (with all the lights on in our house) and my camera was saying it was too dark. Gah! I also wish I had the time/energy to get outside and take some more creative pictures. The days just seem to go by so fast, and I usually work all evening. (I should try and go out in the morning sometime...really, I should try!) Hopefully when things start blooming again I'll have a few creative ideas. I did get to try my hand at maternity pictures for a friend. Again, I get frustrated and am not happy with the results, but I've got to start somewhere and every shoot is a learning experience! I just want her to be happy, so maybe I'll get to take some more of her before the baby is born and try a few new things.

    1. Thanks! Yeah, I realized I have barely any of my husband on here so far so I was able to sneak that one in! :) Thanks for commenting, enjoying your blog as well!

  2. I hate that your feeling frustrated!! It is so hard sometimes... I really love what you are doing especially the portraits shots of friends the past 2 weeks!! The maternity is adorable :) If she is still pregnant in the spring you should defiantly get her outside, I have never done pregnancy pix inside and think you did a great job!! Your boys are precious, the lawn mower pix is great! I hope you have a great week :)

    1. Thanks, it's been fun to try and take some for other people. I just want to be "good" already and I know I need some time to learn and grow! It's hard seeing everyone else's blogs (like yours) where the photos just have this amazing quality to them. They just look more sharp or something...And funny you said that about going outside. I did have them go outside for a minute but got so confused by the lighting and where to place them! I got some cute ones of her but her husband had his eyes closed...need to learn how to edit and swap heads around, lol! But I'm hoping to go outside with her again before the baby's born! Thanks as always for your sweet comments.

  3. I can't do any of that fancy editing stuff and think it's better when you just do it the old fashion way, so don't give up!! It's so funny how we persevere our own work. I do the same thing you do, going to others blogs and feel frustrated.. I've been shooting manual for almost a 2 years now so please don't be too hard on your self! spring will be here soon and you will have so much inspiration :) I hope you feel like you can come to me with any ?s, I may not be able to answer them bit I would love to try to help.. Thanks for your sweet comment I really value our blogger relationship...

  4. I struggle a lot with indoor photography. Nighttime is the worst. At least daylight savings will be here soon and we will have more daylight in the evening. Whenever I get frustrated I look back at photos from a month ago and I can see little ways I have improved. Just think how much we will have improved in a year! You are doing great. I LOVE the framing in your second pic. So sweet :)
