365 Project Week 9

It was another rough week! Sometimes I feel like I'm just snapping the same pictures week to week. I'm trying to give myself a bit of a break, since I'm not even a third of the way through yet, and surely this CRAZY SNOWY winter will be the hardest part! I did get to take my first newborn pictures for a friend, and it was SO much fun. I could easily become addicted to it! It makes me want to get more backgrounds, props, blankets, etc, and that's the hard part...don't really have the money to spend in that area right now! And hopefully I will learn more about editing and be able to do more on that end. On that same day, Henry "posed" for me while I was playing with the lighting and the backdrop. It totally looks like a school picture but it is SO cute to me. :) The first picture of my dog laying in the sun is not technically the best, but I really tried to play around with it, moving the settings back and forth a little, and I felt like that was some good practice. And we got a quick shot with Grandma this week; definitely need more of the boys with family members. (But it was easier when they could be held or would sit still for a minute!) And lucky boys got a quick run in with daddy before the snow hit AGAIN this weekend. Sigh. Oh well, I've made it 60 days! That's a good start!

  1. Your boys are so handsome! I love how your little guy posed, what a great photo! The newborn shot is fantastic and has such great catchlights. Love the ones with Grandma, I need to be better about those types of photos too, good for you and thanks for the inspiration!

    1. Thanks. :) I used to be so good about getting family shots, but sometimes I get tired of being the designated photographer! So trying to get a few more again after slacking off.

  3. Even if it's not technically perfect, I love the first pic of your dog sunbathing. And that newborn shot is beautiful! Makes me wish I knew more newborns to photograph!
